The mother company over NaturesCast^®, Nature’s Legacy Inc. ,was established in December of 1996 by Pete and Catherine Delantar in Compostela, The Philippines. The company was born out of a Clean and Green Environmental Community Project the couple and the company participated in to clean up nature’s waste and debris including dried twigs, leaves and shrubs that littered Cebu’s Compostela mountainous areas and often resulted in forest fires.

This is where the concept for NaturesCast^® was founded!  Pete and Catherine realized these organic scraps would perfect materials for creating functional items that reflect Filipino artistry and provide livelihood for residents of poor communities around Cebu.

“We thought, there must be some use for these heaps of garbage,” recalled Catherine, whose company is also a pioneer in producing Stonecast and Marmor products. “The sight of so much garbage reminded us of how we are continually depleting our natural resources. And there are times when I worry there will not be enough resources for our children.  Sometimes, you come to a point when you wonder what you can do to help slow down the consumption of our what we take for granted.” 

From its humble beginnings, NaturesCast^® has developed into a worldwide company with an innovative line of earth-friendly, functional and aesthetic products that uses “forest castaways” as the chief ingredients.  These “forest castaways” are developed into furniture pieces, shades, houseware products, home decors and many other products.  In all, over 60 unique products are available to the North American market.

NaturesCast^® was launched in 2004 in Germany where it made waves at the Messe Frankfurt-Ambiente Show, Europe’s premier home goods exhibition.  Products are currently sold in Germany through strategically-located distributors to mail order, catalog, specialty retail and some commercial markets such as hotels.

According to Catherine, who is the company’s strategist and VP for Administration, NaturesCast^® answers a demand by environment-conscious consumers for eco-friendly products, without sacrificing style and design.
